Benzos like Ativan are highly addictive in general, that's why drugs like benzos and opiates are avoided for long term use. It's not really a question that can be answered without knowing more about you, your mental history, how similar drugs have affected you, if you carry addictive personality traits,etc. I am allergic to many non-narcotic pain meds, anti inflammatories specifically. I take Vicodin when the pain is too much. I think I am paranoid about becoming addicted, so I stay in pain a lot of the time.
